  • Lead: Review and analyze system specifications; spearhead the development of next-generation test equipment fixtures and processes, identifying opportunities and risks to ensure the successful launch of medical devices;
  • Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, external partners, and manufacturing sites to deliver projects on time and within budget, minimizing disruptions;
  • Educate: Mentor junior engineers and promote DfX initiatives to foster a culture of excellence in product development;
  • Execute: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; execute test cases (manual or automated), analyze results, and document test reports.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Experience in defining requirements specification and design details for test systems of medical devices in a manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of best practices in software development lifecycle with proven ability in multiple languages (e.g., C, Java, or C#);
  • Familiarity with MCAD and ECAD tools;
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and the use of statistical tools to interpret data, identify trends, and implement solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency in systems testing;
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams, either in peer-to-peer settings or as a direct manager;
  • Some experience managing end-to-end (E2E) projects of medium to high complexity, particularly in new product development and design control environments;
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to apply pragmatic and creative problem-solving methods in dynamic and fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of relevant industry experience in the medical device sector (or other heavily regulated industry), with hands-on involvement in systems, test processes, and methods across multiple specialties including process manufacturing, electromechanical engineering, and Design for Excellence (DfX) (or disciplines related to DfX);
