DESCRIPTION
Our Development Services client is looking to hire a local Senior Design Manager to oversee large-scale projects. The Senior Design Manager will lead design, strategy, planning and cost to deliver luxury, living-facility projects. This position is great for applicants with experience in, but not limited to: Architect Interns, Job Captains, Project Managers and more.
DUTIES
- Lead formal conversations and decision-making for development services.
- Conceptualize and develop spaces, floor plans, amenity designs and renovations.
- Work with external architects, designers, and consultants to align standards, expectations and deadlines.
- Partner with clinical, wellness and operations to meet healthcare/assisted living regulations.
- Comprehend and develop design budget and execute value engineering while upholding quality.
- Communicate and negotiate timelines, costs and savings with vendors.
- Establish cohesive architectural and interior design guidelines across new developments.
- Direct the layout of units, common spaces, dining, medical wings, lighting, and infrastructure.
- Ensure all environments strictly adhere to ADA guidelines, building codes and regulations.
- Oversee procurement of furniture, fixtures and equipment tailored toward living needs.
- Be present in all stages of design planning, strategy, collaboration, etc.
- Play a role in establishing strategies that reflect branding and commitment.
- Shape and innovate aesthetic communities.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement architectural design strategies.
- Establish design schedules in relation to project timelines.
- Ensure cohesive feedback during design and construction process.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
