SAP FICO (FP&A / Demand Planning) Consultant

Job Title: Business Analyst – SAP FICO (FP&A / Demand Planning)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 8 Months Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst with strong SAP FICO expertise to support finance and demand planning initiatives. This role will work closely with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver scalable solutions within an SAP ECC environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Demand Planning, with a heavier focus on Controlling (CO), especially around cost management, while also maintaining solid knowledge of Financial Accounting (FI).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications within SAP FICO (ECC environment).
• Support FP&A and Demand Planning processes and system enhancements.
• Work extensively on SAP CO (Controlling) including cost management, allocations, and reporting.
• Provide functional expertise across both FI and CO modules.
• Partner with technical teams to design, test, and implement solutions.
• Create process flows, documentation, and user stories using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Support UAT, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful deployment of solutions.
• Assist in reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation using Excel/BI tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, with strong exposure to both FI and CO modules.
• Strong expertise in Controlling (CO), particularly in cost management.
• Experience working in an SAP ECC environment.
• Solid understanding of FP&A and Demand Planning processes.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IBM Planning Analytics and/or SAP Planning Analytics.
• Working knowledge of SQL, advanced Excel modeling, or BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Prior experience in finance-driven organizations or projects.
