For this contractor assignment, these IT Associate Project Manager (APM) Leads are responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing information technology (IT) projects, balancing business value, cost, schedule, and quality. They will acquire project resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party resources to deliver projects according to plan. They will also define the project's objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle. responsibilities:
- Directs and manages IT project development and delivery from beginning to end.
- Facilitates project scope definition in collaboration with project sponsors.
- Develops IT project plans and associated communications documents and collaborates with an array of stakeholders, teams, and vendors to ensure the needed resources are available for project success.
- Develops and implements strategies to deliver projects according to business objectives and find improvements in the project lifecycle to deliver value sooner.
- Guides project through portions of the governance process.
- Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Coaches, mentors, and motivates project team members, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Works closely with the direct managers of project team members to maintain effective communication channels and ensure the appropriate development of individuals involved in the project.
- Builds, develops, and grows relationships vital to the success of the project.
qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in leading or facilitating projects in an application development, infrastructure, process, or similar areas is required.
- {OR} Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Technical discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Project Management) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in leadership or in leading or facilitating projects in an application development, infrastructure, process, or similar areas.
