Connected Logistics is seeking a Front End UI/UX Design Developer II with a CISSP certification to perform basic asset creation to UX strategy and design leadership. At Level II, you are responsible for the overall look and feel and usability of the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) and other digital tools that Navy leadership uses to track multi-billion dollar acquisition programs. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in UI/UX design and front-end development, with the ability to translate user needs and business requirements into engaging, functional designs. Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environment. Familiarity with government or DoD digital standards. Experience with design systems and component-based UI development.

  • Design and develop responsive websites, web applications, and digital interfaces
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
  • Apply UX principles to ensure intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and refine requirements
  • Implement front-end designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and scalability
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into design improvements
  • Maintain and contribute to design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards
  • Support integration of web interfaces with backend systems and APIs
  • Develop and implement websites, web applications, application databases, and interactive web interfaces. 
  • Evaluate code to ensure that it is properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers and devices. 
  • Optimize website performance, scalability, and server-side code and processes. 
  • May develop website infrastructure and integrate websites with other computer applications.
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s Degree in Engineering or IT with greater than 4 years of experience in a related field OR a minimum of 7 years of professional experience  in a related field in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret level government clearance.
  • CISSP or CSSLP certification required. Proof of certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
  • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Familiarity with usability testing, prototyping, and user research methods.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

This is a good-faith range based on factors such as your experience, geographic location, and any applicable contractual requirements, and may vary slightly.
