About the Role

We are seeking a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator with extensive experience managing and supporting PostgreSQL databases in AWS-hosted application environments.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of database administration experience, with deep PostgreSQL expertise and the ability to work directly with software development teams to design efficient, optimized database solutions.

This role also requires the ability to review cloud logs, interpret technical findings, and communicate database-related recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level database administration expertise for PostgreSQL environments.

• Support PostgreSQL databases powering applications hosted in AWS.

• Work closely with software developers to design and optimize database solutions.

• Review cloud logs, analyze database-related information, and interpret findings.

• Identify database-related issues and recommend appropriate technical solutions.

• Provide guidance on database architecture, performance, and operational requirements.

• Collaborate with application development teams and business stakeholders.

• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.

• Extensive hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL database administration.

• Experience supporting PostgreSQL applications running in AWS.

• Ability to review and interpret cloud logs.

• Experience partnering with software developers on database solution design and optimization.

• Strong understanding of database administration and troubleshooting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Location Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in Utah. Remote work is available, with occasional on-site meetings possible.
