Position Description:

Our Fortune 500 client located in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions across enterprise applications and customer-facing platforms. This role combines automated and manual testing responsibilities and plays a critical part in ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and executing automated test solutions, developing test strategies, performing functional and integration testing, and collaborating closely with development and business teams within Agile delivery environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern testing tools, continuous integration processes, and enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web-based applications.
• Create scalable and reusable test automation frameworks and testing assets.
• Develop automation solutions for UI, functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Support continuous improvement of test automation practices and quality engineering standards.

Manual Testing & Validation

• Perform manual testing to validate application functionality, usability, and business requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Validate system enhancements, defect fixes, and production releases.
• Review and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Help define testing strategies and quality objectives for project initiatives.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations to project teams and leadership.

CI/CD & Continuous Improvement

• Support and enhance Continuous Integration (CI) and automated testing processes.
• Integrate automated testing into deployment pipelines and release workflows.
• Troubleshoot test failures and support root-cause analysis activities.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and testing best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong experience with both automated and manual testing methodologies.
• Experience testing enterprise web applications in Agile development environments.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Selenium and/or Playwright
  • API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI
  • SQL and database validation
  • Test management and defect tracking tools
• Experience supporting Continuous Integration (CI) and automated testing processes.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar Agile delivery platforms.
• Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise customer engagement, CRM, or workflow management platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software implementations.
