Summary

Role Summary

looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to build and scale the platform capabilities behind our consumer-facing business. This role sits at the intersection of commerce, marketing, and service — designing solutions that touch millions of consumer records and directly shape the customer experience. You will own technical design and hands-on development across the Salesforce ecosystem, partner closely with product and business stakeholders, and set the engineering standards the rest of the team builds against.

This is a role for someone comfortable operating without a finished blueprint. Requirements often arrive as a business problem rather than a specification, priorities shift as the consumer market moves, and the right answer is frequently unclear at the outset. We are looking for a developer who treats that ambiguity as part of the work — someone who asks the clarifying questions, frames the options, makes a defensible call, and moves.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions across Salesforce, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flows, and platform APIs.

Build and extend B2C and DTC capabilities — customer profiles, order and subscription flows, self-service portals, loyalty, and post-purchase service journeys.

Integrate Salesforce with the broader consumer stack: ecommerce platforms, payment and fulfillment systems, CDPs, marketing automation, and data warehouses.

Translate loosely defined business problems into technical designs, surfacing trade-offs and recommending a path forward rather than waiting for full requirements.

Document current-state business processes and system landscape as you go, and stand up a lightweight requirements intake so ad hoc requests become a prioritized, traceable queue rather than one-off escalations.

Own data model and architecture decisions for high-volume consumer data, with attention to performance, governor limits, and large-data-volume patterns.

Establish and enforce engineering practices: code review, version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.

Partner with marketing, ecommerce, and customer service teams to shape roadmap priorities and set realistic delivery expectations.

Mentor mid-level and junior developers and raise the technical bar across the team.

Troubleshoot production issues affecting consumer-facing experiences and drive them to root cause.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years building on the Salesforce platform.

Deep hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, triggers, asynchronous processing, and the Salesforce REST/SOAP APIs.

Demonstrated B2C or direct-to-consumer experience — consumer-scale data volumes, high-traffic customer journeys, and non-employee end users.

Experience integrating Salesforce with ecommerce, payment, or fulfillment systems.

Proven track record delivering in ambiguous environments: incomplete requirements, competing stakeholders, and evolving priorities.

Experience as the primary or lead Salesforce resource in an organization with limited in-house platform expertise — including running your own discovery with business stakeholders who cannot specify requirements in Salesforce terms.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical business partners.

Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (or equivalent demonstrated experience).

Located in or willing to relocate to the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, or Data Cloud.

Salesforce Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect certification.

Familiarity with CDPs, customer identity resolution, and consent/privacy frameworks (CCPA, GDPR).

Experience with DevOps tooling for Salesforce — Gearset, Copado, Salesforce DX, or similar.

Retail, subscription, hospitality, or consumer services industry background.

Exposure to adjacent development outside Salesforce (JavaScript frameworks, Node, Python) for integration and middleware work.
