Django Backend Lead Developer 

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Charlotte, NC – Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Django Backend Lead Developer to design, develop, and lead scalable backend applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, Django, REST APIs, Microservices, Cloud technologies, and database management, along with experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development using Python and Django.

• Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Integrate applications with cloud platforms and enterprise systems.

• Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database solutions.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure development best practices.

• Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.

• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.

• Support Agile development, CI/CD, and application deployment processes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of backend development experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on Django experience.

• Strong Python programming skills.

• RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

• SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Git and Agile methodologies.

• Docker and Kubernetes experience.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
