We are looking for the best, highly skilled Software & Controls Engineer to join the team of our exceptional client. This role focuses on designing, programming, and maintaining control systems and automation software to ensure efficient, reliable, and compliant operation of manufacturing machinery and processes.
This position requires hands-on LabVIEW and PLC programming experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to develop scalable, high-performance automation and test systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What will your day look like? As a Software & Controls Engineer, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain control software using NI LabVIEW
Develop software for automated test systems, data acquisition (DAQ), and process control
Integrate software with hardware components including PLCs, sensors, actuators, motion systems, and instrumentation
Support machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to define system requirements and deliver effective control solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation, software standards, and version control practices
Assist with system validation, testing, and performance optimization
Provide on-site and remote support for manufacturing and production systems as needed
You will be a good fit for the Software & Controls Engineer role if you have:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Controls, Software, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in a software and controls engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong proficiency with NI LabVIEW
Experience with data acquisition (DAQ), instrumentation, and test automation
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, TCP/IP, Serial, etc.)
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI development
Experience with version control systems (Git or similar)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of electrical schematics, industrial networks, and instrumentation
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to travel as required to support business needs
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with motion control systems, robotics integration, or SCADA systems
Knowledge of machine vision systems
Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace, medical, defense, etc.)
NI certifications (CLD, CLA)
Experience with robotics or advanced automation technologies
