Location: Southlake, Texas (Hybrid)

Role Overview

This role is focused on building ultra-low latency, high-volume, and reliable next-generation trading and financial technology platforms. As a .NET Developer with AI experience, you will contribute to AI-assisted workflows across the System Development Life Cycle. You will work with .NET engineering, event-driven architecture, cloud-native platforms, and Generative AI-assisted delivery to build business solutions in a complex financial domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and event-driven applications using .NET, Kafka, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Build and modernize high-volume services, APIs, and distributed application capabilities that support transaction processing and business-critical workflows.
  • Partner with architects, product owners, developers, and adjacent technology teams to convert business capabilities into technical solutions.
  • Use GenAI coding assistants to accelerate implementation, refactoring, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Use agentic workflows, prompt engineering, custom instructions, and spec-driven development practices to improve productivity.
  • Strengthen engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, performance analysis, observability, resiliency practices, and production readiness.
  • Support modernization initiatives by moving legacy capabilities toward distributed .NET services, cloud-native platforms, and modern data stores.
  • Collaborate with engineers to adopt repeatable, responsible AI-assisted development practices.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.

Experience: This role requires 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing scalable .NET, cloud-based, or web services applications in high-volume environments. Additional requirements include 4+ years building and deploying cloud-native applications (Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes) and 2+ years with databases such as MongoDB, Aerospike, or PostgreSQL. 1+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML implementation or AI-assisted engineering is also required.

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with .NET, Kafka, IBM MQ, Splunk, JSON/XML, and caching is necessary. Candidates should have experience with cloud platforms like PCF, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience with Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini) and GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is required. Familiarity with the Atlassian tool stack (Jira, Confluence) and Agile methodology is expected.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience in Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development, and QA automation.
  • Proficiency in creating architecture diagrams, design documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with performance engineering, reliability testing, and resiliency validation for distributed platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted SDLC transformation initiatives or internal developer productivity programs.
  • Experience mentoring peers on .NET engineering, cloud-native implementation, or AI-assisted software delivery.
