Job Description ECS is seeking a
Junior Database Administrator to work in our
Washington, DC office.
As a Junior Database Administrator, you'll bring your analytical and strategic expertise to work on projects for military healthcare. You'll administer, test, and implement computer databases, and apply your knowledge of database management systems. You will also coordinate changes to computer databases and may plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
ECS will support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to include DHA J-6, PEO Medical Systems / CIO, and Engineering, Solutions Architecture and IT Business Analytics (ESA-BAD) Division by delivering comprehensive program management and advanced analytics services to enhance decision-making across critical healthcare IT initiatives. This effort integrates tools such as SEMOSS, Python, R, and AI-driven analytics to develop enterprise dashboards, perform predictive analysis, and streamline reporting and planning activities. We are looking for someone with knowledge of the health sector who leverages data analysis and reporting tools to extract insights from healthcare data, supporting critical decision-making within the military and defense healthcare systems.
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
General Description of Benefits
Required Skills - Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with OCONUS / Global Program Management and with DoD IT systems maintenance and enhancements.
- 0-3+ years of DoD work experience.
- 0-3+ years total work experience in database management.
- Advance knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server or other database management systems.
- Statistical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to quickly transition and reassess priorities to meet aggressive deadlines.
Desired Skills - Oracle certification
- SQL Server certification
- Certification with other RDBMS systems.
