Job Description:
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Client 's Asset Management Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support investment management, trading, research, and operations functions. You will work with large-scale data platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions for critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable data engineering solutions and data pipelines.
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Build and maintain ETL processes using Informatica and related technologies.
- Work with Snowflake and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Design and implement data models, including transactional systems, data marts, and data warehouses.
- Analyze data, identify issues and patterns, and implement innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in Agile development processes including Scrum and Kanban.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Docker.
- Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and reliability across data platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related fields.
- Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, SQL scripting, and database performance tuning.
- Experience developing data integration and ETL solutions using Informatica.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehouse technologies.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, data marts, and enterprise data warehouses.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience within Financial Services, Asset Management, Banking, or Investment Management environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java development.
- Exposure to Python scripting and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, and Docker.
