Sr Digital Accessibility Manager

Description

Robert Hlaf Marketing and Creative has a client looking for an Accessibility Manager to lead and advance inclusive digital experiences for a services organization i. This position focuses on strengthening accessibility practices across websites and digital products by partnering with design, development, and content teams. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of WCAG 2.2, hands-on testing expertise, and the ability to translate findings into practical improvements that enhance usability for all audiences.

Responsibilities:

Shape and support accessibility standards, policies, and practical frameworks that guide digital work across projects and platforms.

Evaluate websites and digital experiences through a mix of automated tools and manual review to uncover barriers and prioritize improvements.

Partner with developers, designers, and content teams to embed accessible practices from planning through launch and ongoing optimization.

Define clear remediation guidance and actionable recommendations so technical teams can address compliance and usability issues effectively.

Apply straightforward code-based fixes when appropriate to improve the experience for users with disabilities.

Share progress, audit results, and accessibility recommendations with clients and internal stakeholders in both virtual and in-person settings.

Provide coaching and education on accessibility principles, testing methods, and inclusive design best practices to strengthen organizational knowledge.

Create or contribute accessibility notes and annotations within design tools such as Figma to support accessible implementation.

Monitor evolving accessibility regulations, standards, and industry developments to help maintain continuous improvement and compliance.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise in digital accessibility standards, including strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and related compliance expectations.
Experience building or supporting accessibility programs, policies, or implementation strategies for digital products.
Proficiency with automated accessibility testing platforms such as Deque, UsableNet, Siteimprove, or similar solutions.
Hands-on experience performing manual accessibility testing with assistive technologies and structured evaluation approaches.
Ability to explain accessibility issues and remediation steps clearly to developers and cross-functional partners.
Familiarity with design collaboration tools such as Figma and the ability to document accessibility considerations within design files.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress CMS, and content accessibility best practices.
Strong communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills, with the ability to succeed in a fast-moving environment.
