Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced and motivated AI Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data pipelines and AI data platforms that support our enterprise-scale initiatives in an IC customer space. This role demands technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience with Oracle-based systems in high-volume environments. ResponsibilitiesRequired Skills:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database management and building enterprise-scale mission systems, preferably within the federal sector
- Experience with managing geospatial intelligence data (vectors and rasters)
- Familiarity with Cloud platforms such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong experience with architecting and implementing Oracle Databases
- AI-enabling data using Vector data type, RAG, and MCP
- Strong knowledge of ETL pipeline design (including data transformations) and implementation for large-scale data systems
- Containers/Kubernetes
- Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, or other automation tools
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, DBAs, and business analysts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting and presenting solutions
- The ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI eligibility with poly required
Desired Skills:- Designing multi-modal databases that integrate multiple data types, including:
- Relational
- Spatial
- JSON
- Graph
- Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering context
- Creating and deploying RESTful APIs; Oracle API Gateway
- Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Database Certified Professional or OCI Architect Professional) are a plus
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC)-related agencies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills
Position is located in the Reston, VA area
Qualifications6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
