Job Summary

Experienced SAP QA Manager / Program Manager to lead quality assurance and delivery governance across a large, complex SAP transformation program involving multiple delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

This role will be responsible for defining QA strategy, program governance, test management, risk mitigation, and executive reporting while ensuring successful delivery across multiple SAP workstreams.

The position requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate effectively with VPs, CIO, and Steering Committees while ensuring alignment between business, IT, and implementation partners.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead QA and program oversight for large-scale SAP implementations or transformations (S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or hybrid landscapes).
  • Manage multiple teams across workstreams including functional, technical, integration, data migration, and testing teams.
  • Establish program governance structures including reporting cadence, escalation processes, and decision frameworks.
  • Coordinate delivery across internal teams, system integrators, and external vendors.

QA Strategy & Test Management

  • Define and implement enterprise QA strategy across the SAP program.
  • Oversee end-to-end testing lifecycle including:
    • Test planning
    • Integration testing
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Regression testing
    • Performance and automation testing
  • Ensure test environments, data management, and defect tracking processes are well established.

Stakeholder & Executive Communication

  • Provide executive reporting and program status updates to:
    • VP leadership
    • CIO
    • Steering Committees
  • Prepare program dashboards, risk assessments, and milestone reviews.
  • Lead steering committee meetings and present program health, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify and manage program risks, dependencies, and quality issues.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration to resolve critical defects and delivery challenges.
  • Implement quality gates and release readiness reviews.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise QA standards and governance frameworks.
  • Establish KPIs, metrics, and quality benchmarks for program success.
  • Maintain documentation for audit readiness and compliance requirements.

Vendor & Team Leadership

  • Manage multi-vendor delivery environments including SI partners and offshore teams.
  • Mentor QA leads, test managers, and delivery managers across the program.
  • Foster collaboration across global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 15+ years of experience in enterprise IT programs.
  • 7+ years leading QA or program management for SAP implementations.
  • Experience managing complex multi-team SAP programs.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • SAP testing frameworks
    • Integration testing strategies
    • Defect management tools
  • Experience reporting to C-level executives and steering committees.
  • Proven track record managing large transformation initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, HR, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience with testing tools such as:
    • Tricentis Tosca
    • HP ALM / Quality Center
    • JIRA
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall program delivery models.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
