Project Overview

This role will support the OFCC application development group in the modernization of CMW from Perl/MySQL to Java/React/MariaDB on an AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to project teams and validate system requirements, testing, and deliverables

• Translate business needs into technical requirements and define standards and procedures

• Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and mentoring of development teams

• Analyze system issues, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend modern solutions

• Develop modernized code components as required and participate in peer reviews and pair programming

• Plan, execute, and review system testing and UAT results

Required Skills

• 10+ years of expertise in Perl (all versions)

• 10+ years of Java and React full-stack development

• 10+ years of experience with MySQL and MariaDB

Highly Desired Skills

• Application modernization on AWS or Azure

• Designing test plans and testing Java applications

• Strong experience in resolving technical risks and development issues

• Experience using AI to support application development and testing

• Construction Management domain expertise
