Summary

Job Title: Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Medicaid)
Location: Austin, TX, (Hybrid)- 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues) required to be onsite
Position Type: Contract
Interview Mode: MS Teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project documentation in accordance with HHSS/DIR requirements.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of application online help documentation.
  • Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business processes and program needs.
  • Develop and maintain use cases, process flow diagrams, acceptance criteria, and other system documentation.
  • Analyze new and existing business processes to assess the impact of proposed system changes and enhancements.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication throughout project activities.
  • Ensure application designs comply with established HHSS standards.
  • Perform testing activities, including test data creation, test script development, test execution, results analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Follow established software development and testing standards to support application quality and maintainability.
  • Provide regular status updates on enhancement efforts and issue resolution activities.
  • Communicate critical system issues to management and technical leadership as appropriate.
  • Participate in project status meetings and collaborate with developers, business analysts, database administrators, project managers, and other team members.
  • Maintain and update work assignments through the designated ticketing system.
  • Communicate system functionality, data collection processes, and technical information to internal and external stakeholders through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer through documentation reviews, training sessions, and information-sharing activities.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to system architecture, workflows, dependencies, and implementation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations and updates to management and stakeholders regarding project deliverables and system improvements.
