Summary

Description

The Project Technology Director is a strategic leader responsible for advancing digital project delivery and directing enterprise-wide engineering and project technology tools. This role drives digital transformation across planning, design, and construction by improving processes, enhancing data management, standardizing best practices, and improving project outcomes.
  • Lead and direct technological advancement across the enterprise project life cycle.
  • Direct deployment, performance, support, operations, and updates of engineering, document control, project management, and enterprise software tools.
  • Develop and execute enterprise technology and data strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive digital delivery initiatives, including BIM, VDC, Digital Twins, VR/AR, and reality capture technologies.
  • Identify process gaps and implement solutions to streamline design workflows and eliminate duplication.
  • Direct departmental operations, budgets, vendor relationships, and software portfolios.
  • Support business development efforts by presenting technology capabilities to clients.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, technology, and organizational policies.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.
  • Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.
  • Responsible for interpreting the organization's policies, purposes, and goals to staff.
  • Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.
  • Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in engineering, business, marketing or related degree from an accredited program. and 13 years relevant experience, preferably in A/E industry required.
  • Advance experience in client and business development.
  • Advance experience in managing business development efforts, which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, budgeting, and client coordination.
  • Advance facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success as to budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
