DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L3 DevOps Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DevOps engineering, Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, and Manhattan Fulfillment Commerce (MFCS) environments.

The candidate will be responsible for leading complex production support activities, troubleshooting critical issues, improving system reliability, and driving DevOps automation and deployment best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 production support for enterprise applications and DevOps environments.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Support and manage Kubernetes-based environments, deployments, and troubleshooting.
• Work with Kafka for messaging, event streaming, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Support applications built using Java and troubleshoot application-level issues.
• Provide hands-on support for Manhattan Fulfillment Commerce Solutions (MFCS) environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and application health.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve production issues.
• Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive action initiatives.
• Automate repetitive operational and deployment processes.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement of DevOps processes.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for complex production issues.

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Senior/L3 DevOps Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong Java application support/troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Manhattan Fulfillment Commerce Solutions (MFCS).
• Strong production support and incident management experience.
• Experience troubleshooting complex application and infrastructure issues.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in retail, supply chain, order management, or fulfillment environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Scripting/automation experience using Shell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience working in highly available, enterprise-scale environments.

Required Experience

• Senior-level DevOps experience with L3 production support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, and MFCS.
• Experience leading technical troubleshooting and production issue resolution.
