About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Account Director – IT Services with a strong background supporting clients in the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or built-environment sector.

This role is ideal for a client-facing sales and account leader who understands how to grow strategic accounts, manage executive relationships, identify new opportunities, and position technology services that solve real business problems for construction-focused organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow strategic client accounts within the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or related industry verticals
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, COOs, Digital Transformation leaders, Operations leaders, and business executives
  • Identify new business opportunities across IT services, software development, cloud, data, analytics, enterprise applications, automation, AI, and digital transformation
  • Develop account plans, revenue forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and expansion strategies
  • Lead client conversations around business challenges, technology roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and operational improvement
  • Partner with delivery, solutions, engineering, and leadership teams to shape proposals and client solutions
  • Drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities across existing accounts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through proposal, negotiation, and closure
  • Ensure client satisfaction, delivery alignment, and long-term account growth
  • Represent the company as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients

Ideal Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, client services, business development, or sales within an IT services, consulting, software services, or digital transformation company
  • Strong experience selling or managing technology services for clients in the construction domain
  • Familiarity with construction industry workflows, project delivery, field operations, ERP systems, workforce management, asset management, or project management platforms
  • Proven ability to grow enterprise or mid-market accounts and manage executive relationships
  • Experience selling services such as application development, cloud services, data engineering, analytics, ERP/CRM modernization, automation, AI/ML, integration, or managed services
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pipeline, forecasts, account strategy, and revenue targets
  • Ability to work closely with technical and delivery teams to align client needs with practical solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working remotely while managing clients across multiple locations and time zones

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience supporting construction, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, real estate development, or building materials clients
  • Experience with platforms or systems used in the construction industry, such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or related enterprise systems
  • Understanding of construction technology trends including field mobility, project controls, document management, BIM, IoT, safety systems, workforce tracking, cloud migration, and data analytics
  • Experience managing $1M+ annual account revenue or building new revenue within assigned accounts
  • Background in offshore, nearshore, or global delivery-based IT services is a plus

Work Arrangement

This is a remote-based role, with occasional client travel as needed for strategic meetings, QBRs, workshops, or relationship-building.

This role requires someone who can uncover business needs, translate them into technology opportunities, and build long-term client relationships that drive measurable revenue growth.
