Role OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Java/J2EE Specialist for application development, prototyping, and high-level technical consulting. The role involves working closely with team members and business partners to develop technology solutions. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying application bottlenecks, optimizing performance, and supporting issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Perform application development, prototyping, and technical consulting.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to develop solutions under tight deadlines.
- Predict the effects of configuration changes and identify opportunities to optimize performance.
- Utilize Git for version control and team collaboration.
- Support issue resolution and complete ad-hoc requests for business partners.
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software solutions based on J2EE technologies.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs.
Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience as a hands-on Java Developer, including experience in design, development, integration, and testing of software solutions using J2EE technologies like servlets, JSP, and JDBC. Candidates should possess strong coding experience, including performance optimization.
Technical Skills:- 5-10 years of experience with relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, or DB2.
- 3-5 years of experience managing, building, and deploying code with tools including Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins.
- 3-5 years of experience designing and executing JUnit test cases using the Mockito framework.
- Experience with authentication using JWT and OAuth.
- Proficiency with implementing REST APIs and performance optimizations.
- Knowledge of database technologies such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Ability to write scripts for automation of tasks and data processing.
Preferred Qualifications- Cloud certifications.
- Proficiency with popular Python libraries such as NumPy and Pandas.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
- Ability to think critically and act expeditiously to evaluate situations, make decisions, and solve problems.
- Flexibility and versatility to adapt to new environments and work on any project.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlines.
- Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving skills, intellectual maturity, and relationship management skills.
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $79.00 and $89.32 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
