Job Description
Building and validating Azure environments across different environments (prod and stage). Engineers will implement networking (VNet, DNS, egress), security hardening, observability (Azure Monitor/App Insights + Splunk/Dynatrace), infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions + ACR), API Management, serverless (Azure Functions), CDC/Kafka integrations, performance testing, environment readiness, cutover, and post?prod monitoring. Work spans both build and validation, with hands?on delivery in a collaborative, fast?moving setup.
Responsibilities
Implement and validate Azure networking: Virtual Networks, Subnets, DNS, NAT Gateway, Firewall, Private Endpoints
Configure Azure Monitor & Application Insights; integrate with Splunk/Dynatrace
Develop Terraform (AzureRM) modules for Azure resources (AKS/App Service, Load Balancer, Blob Storage, SQL DB)
Set up CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Azure Container Registry (ACR)
Deploy and validate Azure Functions and API Management (plus Application Gateway/WAF where needed)
Support data integration: CDC pipelines and Kafka, Azure Event Hubs
Perform security hardening; implement RBAC/PIM and Key Vault for secrets
Assist with performance/load testing using Azure Load Testing/JMeter; optimize scaling (AKS HPA/App Service Plans)
Validate environment readiness across stage and prod environments; run smoke/connectivity tests
Collaborate on rollback/backout strategies and cutover/post?migration verification
Requirements
Bachelor?s or master?s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
5 ? 10 years of experience in cloud engineering with 3+ years in Azure
Strong experience with Azure: VNet, DNS, NAT Gateway, Azure Firewall, AKS, App Service, API Management, Application Gateway, Blob Storage, Azure SQL
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (AzureRM); module design, remote state (Azure Storage), secrets via Key Vault
CI/CD: GitHub Actions, build/push to ACR, deploy to AKS/App Service
Observability: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics; integration with Splunk/Dynatrace
Data/Streaming: Kafka via Event Hubs (Kafka protocol); CDC (ADF or SQL CDC/Debezium)
Security best practices: RBAC, PIM, policies, managed identities, network security
Rollback/Backout: blue?green/canary (AKS) or deployment slots (App Service)
