Title: Benefits Configuration Analyst / Benefits Configuration Specialist

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Benefits Configuration Analyst with strong hands-on experience in configuring and managing employee benefits within HR systems.
This role requires a configuration-focused professional who can design, implement, and maintain benefits plans while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with EDI integrations and SQL for data validation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Configuration & Setup:
Configure and maintain benefits plans (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.) in HRIS systems like Workday or SAP SuccessFactors
Compliance & Regulatory Management:
Ensure benefits programs comply with regulations such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, IRC Section 125 & 401(k), and ADAA
EDI Integration Management:
Manage and troubleshoot EDI file transmissions with carriers and vendors
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Use SQL to validate data, generate reports, and perform reconciliation
System Testing & Implementation:
Support system testing, configuration changes, and new benefits implementations
Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with HR, payroll, vendors, and IT teams for smooth benefits operations
Audit & Data Accuracy:
Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy, eligibility, and compliance
Open Enrollment Support:
Support configuration and execution of open enrollment processes
Key Qualifications:
Benefits Configuration Expertise:
Strong hands-on experience in configuring benefits in HRIS platforms
Compliance Knowledge:
Deep understanding of US benefits regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, IRC Sections, ADAA)
Technical Skills:
Experience with EDI integrations and strong SQL knowledge
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience in Benefits Configuration (Workday / SAP SuccessFactors / HRIS)
Strong knowledge of EDI (834 files, carrier integrations)
Proficiency in SQL for reporting and data validation
Experience in benefits lifecycle management
Knowledge of data audits and reconciliation
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in Benefits Administration / Configuration
Experience in US Benefits environment
HRIS experience (Workday / SAP SuccessFactors preferred)
