SAP Fullstack Developer Neptune Focus

Position Overview

We are seeking a Fullstack SAP Developer with strong Neptune DXP experience to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade SAP applications across SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC landscapes.

This role is Neptune-centric. SAP Fiori/UI5 knowledge is beneficial but secondary. The ideal consultant must be comfortable working across:

• Frontend (Neptune + SAPUI5/JavaScript)
• Backend (ABAP, RFC, BAPI, CDS, OData)
• SAP integration and performance optimization

The consultant will work closely with functional, ABAP, security, and BASIS teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend (Primary Focus Neptune)

• Develop enterprise applications using Neptune DXP
• Build responsive and mobile-enabled SAP applications
• Implement device integrations (barcode scanning, mobility features)
• Design modular, reusable UI components
• Implement offline capability (if required)

Backend (Fullstack Responsibility)

• Develop and optimize:
  • RFCs
  • BAPIs
  • ABAP Classes
  • CDS Views
  • OData services
• Optimize database queries and reduce backend latency
• Handle batch processing and async integrations where needed

Integration & Architecture

• Integrate Neptune apps with SAP Launchpad
• Configure roles and authorization in coordination with Security
• Ensure scalable, clean-core compliant design
• Manage transports across Dev QA Prod landscapes

Required Skills

• 5+ years SAP technical development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Neptune DXP
• Solid ABAP backend development experience
• Experience integrating Neptune apps with S/4HANA or ECC
• Strong knowledge of:
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • SAPUI5 (basic to intermediate)
  • OData
  • RFC/BAPI integrations
• Performance tuning experience (frontend + backend)
• Experience with transport management and version control
