Job Summary

The PIM Implementation Specialist will lead the configuration, customization, and technical integration of a Product Information Management (PIM) platform. This role serves as the technical subject matter expert (SME), ensuring the system is implemented, optimized, and maintained to support merchandising, eCommerce, and marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end configuration of PIM features, attributes, workflows, hierarchies, and roles
• Develop and manage data models to support multi-channel retail needs
• Build and optimize automated workflows for product data enrichment, approvals, and publishing
• Partner with technical teams to develop preview capabilities in staging environments
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to migrate product data accurately

Integration & Technical Support

• Develop and maintain API integrations, scripts, and data pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and post-implementation
• Support integrations with translation vendors, AI tools, and data enrichment systems
• Explore and implement PIM AI capabilities such as product attribute extraction and image recognition

Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor platform performance and optimize configurations and workflows
• Stay updated on PIM platform enhancements and best practices
• Document technical configurations, workflows, and integrations

Collaboration & Training

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Create technical documentation, guides, and process diagrams
• Provide training and ongoing support to users and internal teams

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing or managing enterprise PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Inriver, Akeneo, Riversand, Informatica)
• Hands-on expertise in configuring PIM features, workflows, and integrations
• Strong understanding of data models, taxonomies, attributes, and governance
• Proficiency in APIs, scripting (Python, JavaScript), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
• Experience with ETL processes and integration tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Data Fusion)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, eCommerce, or consumer goods industries
• Knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, DAM, CMS, eCommerce platforms)
• Familiarity with Agile or DevOps environments
