Summary
Role: Financial Business Analyst
Location: McLean, VA (5 Days Onsite)
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements from Accounting, Finance, and Tax systems.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to translate business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology process solutions.
- Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows.
- Support UAT, data validation, and process documentation (SOPs, process flows).
- Facilitate communication between business units and technical delivery teams.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Min 7+ years experience as a Business Analyst, with direct exposure to accounting, finance, or tax functions.
- Experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services (GSE experience a plus).
- Strong requirements-gathering, process-mapping, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with financial systems, ERP, and reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Preferred:
Experience with reimbursable operating expense (ROE) or similar mortgage servicing cost processes.
Exposure to tax compliance workflows (federal/state, GSE-specific reporting).
SQL or data analysis skills.
