Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Conversational AI Engineer with strong experience in IBM WatsonX Orchestrate and enterprise chatbot platforms. This role focuses on building next-generation Conversational AI solutions in the healthcare domain to improve member and provider experience through intelligent digital interactions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in full stack development, conversational AI, NLP, and cloud-based microservices architecture, with the ability to design and deliver scalable, user-centric chatbot and voice solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end Conversational AI solutions (chatbot & voice)
  • Architect conversational flows integrating APIs, cloud services, and enterprise systems
  • Work closely with product, UI/UX, and backend teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, refine user stories, and provide estimates
  • Apply NLP, AI/ML techniques to improve chatbot accuracy and performance
  • Tune Speech-to-Text (STT) and conversational models for better user experience
  • Integrate chatbot solutions across multi-channel platforms (web, mobile, voice)
  • Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and deploy conversational agents
  • Ensure adherence to clean coding standards and best practices
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer (Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs)
  • 3+ years of experience in Conversational AI / Chatbot development
  • Hands-on experience with IBM WatsonX Orchestrate or similar platforms (Dialogflow CX, Amazon Lex, Kore.ai, LivePerson)
  • Strong experience in NLP, intent training, and model optimization
  • Experience with microservices architecture (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
  • Expertise in unit and integration testing (JUnit, Selenium)
  • Experience with API tools (Postman, SoapUI, Swagger) and monitoring tools like Splunk
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments

DevOps & Tools

  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub, Octopus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with React, Angular, HTML, CSS, Python
  • Knowledge of SSML for Text-to-Speech (TTS) enhancements
  • Exposure to data and analytics tools (Tableau, Alation, DataRobot, Trifacta)
  • Experience in healthcare domain is a plus
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Equivalent experience (High School + 4 years of relevant experience) considered
