EDI Technical Architect
Experience: - 10+ Years
Location: - Dallas, TX 5 days/Week
What is in it for you?
EDI Technical Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure EDI integration platforms, Azure cloud architectures, and Java-based enterprise applications while ensuring seamless connectivity, data integrity, automation, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities: -
- Provide architecture guidance for SI to CIMS/B2Bi integrations, including enveloping, acknowledgments (997/999), error handling, and replay mechanisms.
- Design and implement secure EDI integration solutions across enterprise platforms and external trading partners.
- Define AS2 and SFTP connectivity standards, security configurations, onboarding processes, and integration guidelines.
- Troubleshoot EDI mapping issues, communication failures, protocol-related problems, and connectivity challenges with internal and external stakeholders.
- Automate EDI workflows and integration processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
- Design, develop, and support Java-based enterprise applications and integration services.
- Architect and implement Azure-based solutions, including serverless architectures and Azure Functions.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring technologies.
- Provide technical leadership for Azure architecture, solution design, and cloud migration initiatives.
- Support Linux/Unix environments, including administration, deployment activities, and shell scripting.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure reliable and scalable integration solutions.
- Support Java-based applications in production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational stability.
Educational Qualifications: -
- Engineering Degree BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
Skills: -
Mandatory skills
- Strong experience as a Technical Architect with expertise in EDI integration, enterprise integration patterns, and B2B communication platforms.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator for EDI processing, partner onboarding, transaction management, and integration workflows.
- Strong understanding of EDI standards, acknowledgments (997/999), enveloping, error handling, replay mechanisms, AS2, and SFTP protocols.
- Proven experience designing and contributing to Azure-based architecture, solution design, cloud-native applications, and Azure modernization initiatives.
- Strong expertise in Java development, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience designing and supporting serverless architectures using Azure Functions and related cloud services.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration experience with hands-on shell scripting capabilities.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java-based enterprise applications in production environments.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, system connectivity, security controls, automation, and data integrity best practices.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases in enterprise application environments.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience with Angular or React for front-end application development.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes container platforms.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and DevOps practices.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud-native integration patterns and API management platforms.
- Healthcare domain experience.
