- Mid-Level - $92,700 - $114,000
- Sr Level - $122,400- $154,000

Primary Purpose of PositionResponsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities- Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
- Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications and all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures.
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Entry Level E01 Engineer- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear)
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Engineer- Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) with 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Engineer- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear experience or related engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications- The Fire Protection Program Engineer (FPPE) is the station's technical authority responsible for implementing and maintaining the Fire Protection Program in accordance with regulatory requirements, fleet procedures, and NFPA standards.
The FPPE provides technical leadership, supports regulatory inspections, maintains program health, and collaborates closely with site engineering, operations, maintenance, corporate fire protection, and external oversight bodies.

Demonstrated experience in engineering programs, system ownership, or fire protection-related functions.
Knowledge of NFPA codes, NRC regulatory requirements, and nuclear safety processes.
- Key Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Governance
Maintain and update program documentation, including FPR, Safe Shutdown Analysis, and procedures. Ensuring compliance with regulations and commitments.
Prepare regular Program Health Reports/KPIs for Fire Protection and FLEX.
Engineering & Technical Support
Perform engineering evaluations, calculations, and reviews on fire barriers, detection, suppression, and safe-shutdown features.
Review and approve design changes affecting fire protection systems or licensing basis.
Lead or support internal assessments, OPEX/IR reviews, and NOS audits.
Support fire protection issue evaluation, event reports, failures, and CAP investigations.
Regulatory & Insurance Interface
Lead or assist with NRC Triennial Fire Protection Inspection prep and corrective actions.
Participate in NEIL insurance inspections, audits, and follow-ups.
Fleet & Industry Engagement
Coordinate with Corporate Fire Protection Engineers for guidance and fleet alignment.
Join fleet working groups, peer calls, and industry committees (INPO, NEI, NFPA).
Mentor and support other fire protection or safe-shutdown staff.
