Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Java Frontend Developer to build intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing web applications. In this role, you will bridge the gap between user interface design and backend Java services, utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks alongside Java template engines and APIs to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Frontend UI/UX Development: Design and implement highly responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).

  • Java Frontend Integration: Integrate frontend UI components with Java-based backend services, RESTful APIs, and template engines (e.g., Thymeleaf, JSP, JSF).

  • API Consumption & State Management: Connect frontend components to microservices via REST/JSON, managing client-side state and application flow effectively.

  • UI/UX Optimization: Enhance web application performance, responsiveness, speed, and usability across desktop and mobile browsers.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Write clean, maintainable UI code and perform frontend unit/integration testing (using Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, or Selenium).

  • Agile Collaboration: Collaborate with UX designers, backend Java developers, and product teams to translate mockups and requirements into functional digital products.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Core Java: Solid understanding of Core Java (Java 8+) and Java web application structures.

  • Frontend Tech Stack: 3+ years of strong experience with HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.

  • Frontend Frameworks: Hands-on experience with at least one modern UI framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js).

  • Java Web Technologies: Familiarity with Java template engines (Thymeleaf, JSP, or JSF) and Spring Boot/Spring MVC basics.

  • API Integration: Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and AJAX techniques.

  • Build Tools & Version Control: Experience with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn), Java build tools (Maven or Gradle), and Git.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with UI component libraries and design systems (Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, Material-UI).

  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and deployment environments.

  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and cross-browser testing tools.

  • Exposure to end-to-end testing tools like Selenium or Playwright.
