Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Mesa, AZ that is seeking a Workday Payroll/HRIS Analyst.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Workday Payroll/HRIS Analyst to serve as the functional owner of payroll-related systems, including payroll, time tracking, and absence management modules. This role is responsible for system configuration, ongoing administration, reporting, and continuous process improvement to support accurate and efficient payroll operations.
The ideal candidate will partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure system integrity, compliance, and an optimal user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and enhance Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence modules
* Configure earnings, deductions, pay groups, time codes, accruals, and payroll policies
* Maintain business processes, security roles, and system configurations
* Monitor and support inbound/outbound integrations to ensure data accuracy and system performance
* Support payroll processing through audits, validations, and issue resolution
* Ensure data integrity via reconciliations and variance analysis
* Maintain documentation to support audits and internal controls
* Stay current on regulatory changes impacting payroll and timekeeping
* Develop and maintain reports and dashboards related to payroll, time, and absence
* Partner with finance teams to support labor costing and general ledger alignment
* Provide insights and analytics to support workforce and operational decisions
* Translate business requirements into scalable system solutions
* Participate in testing cycles including unit testing, regression, and UAT
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system efficiency
* Support system updates, releases, and ongoing enhancements

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Payroll
* Experience supporting Time Tracking and Absence modules preferred
* Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and regulations
* Experience with system audits, controls, and data validation
* Proficiency in Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, or Composite reports preferred)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and functional teams

Nice-to-Have:
* Workday certification(s)
* Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio)
* Exposure to financial reporting or labor costing processes

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
