Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid - Only locals)
Duration; 12 months contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical enterprise applications. This role focuses on system performance, security compliance (including SOX), CI/CD automation, and modernization of applications using cloud-native and microservices architecture. The engineer will work in an Agile environment and support enterprise releases and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, monitor, and maintain application servers for performance, availability, and security
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time
Automate deployment and operational processes; track and document changes
Support application modernization using cloud-native technologies and microservices
Participate in enterprise releases and maintenance activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

6+ years supporting microservices-based applications (Spring Boot) on Kubernetes
6+ years of cloud and database experience (Oracle Cloud preferred)
3+ years with Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, Tomcat, Linux/Unix
3+ years with DevOps & CI/CD tools (Git/Stash, Jenkins, Fortify)
Strong Oracle Database experience, including SQL performance tuning
Experience working in Agile environments
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Camel
API and integration experience (APIGEE, JSON)
