Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator II to join our Engineering, Construction & Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, developing pricing models, supporting conceptual engineering design, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project planning and execution. The position offers exposure to utility-scale renewable energy, transmission, substations, water treatment, hydrogen, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and definitive project cost estimates.
Develop pricing models and estimating methodologies.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Support conceptual engineering design and preliminary construction planning.
Perform quantity takeoffs and scope quantification.
Conduct value engineering analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and maintain estimating databases and tools.
Perform risk assessments and prepare project contingencies.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, and suppliers.
Track project costs and estimate variances throughout the project lifecycle.
Present estimates and recommendations to project stakeholders and management.
Ensure compliance with company standards, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Internship or hands-on experience in construction, engineering, or estimating
Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar
Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6
Experience supporting infrastructure, utility, renewable energy, or EPC projects
