Summary
Job Title: Java Backend Developer
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Duration: 12 months
This position does not support Visa Sponsorship and payment terms are W2/hr only
Summary:
- Seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java (8/11/17+),
- Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and securing RESTful APIs, working with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), and building scalable enterprise applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices is essential. The role also requires proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and collaborating within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Java Development: Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17+, Core Java, object-oriented programming, collections, multithreading, and developing scalable enterprise applications.
- Spring Boot & Microservices: Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based applications using Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- REST API Development: Hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, and securing RESTful APIs using JSON, HTTP methods, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Database & Integration: Strong experience with SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL), Hibernate/JPA, database queries, and integrating applications with internal and external systems.
- Cloud, DevOps & CI/CD: Working knowledge of AWS or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines for building, deploying, and supporting microservices applications.
- Testing, Troubleshooting & Agile Delivery: Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Postman, debugging, performance optimization, production issue resolution, and working in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
