Boeing Global Services (BGS) Engineering team is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Air Dominance Proprietary 2 team in Hazelwood, Missouri.

This role is responsible for applying systems engineering and operations analysis methods to evaluate mission effectiveness, operational performance, system behavior, trade studies, and requirements across the program lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting defense programs and working across engineering, operations, test, logistics, and program management teams to help define, assess, and optimize platform capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform operations analysis, systems analysis, and engineering assessments for military platform development programs
  • Support concept development, requirements definition, and system architecture trade studies
  • Analyze mission effectiveness, system performance, operational scenarios, and capability impacts
  • Develop models, simulations, and analytical products to evaluate design alternatives and operational concepts
  • Support systems engineering activities across the program lifecycle, including requirements management, verification planning, and technical reviews
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design engineering, test, integration, logistics, sustainment, and customer representatives
  • Assess risk, technical performance, readiness, and mission impact of proposed design changes
  • Provide analytical support for system-level decisions, including cost, schedule, performance, and capability tradeoffs
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and decision-support materials for internal leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Support integration and test planning, test data analysis, and validation of operational assumptions
  • Contribute to development of operational concepts, mission scenarios, and use cases for military systems
  • Ensure analytical work aligns with program goals, customer expectations, and military platform requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • 5+ years of engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Aircraft maintenance experience
  • Experience with reliability calculations and terms (i.e. MTBR, MTBF, MTBM, NMC-M, NMC-S, RTOK)
  • Experience with supply concepts and interface with supply analysis
  • Experience with predictive analysis
  • Experience with aircraft driven fault reporting
  • Experience with Mail Exchange (MX) code generation i.e Atlas database and/or other databases
  • Experience with basic programming, Visual Basic Application (VBA) use with Access and Excel
