Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Scrum or Agile. You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex, multi-faceted, and larger-scale Scrum Master challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors to meet deliverables.
Responsibilities: - Lead all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Ensure adherence to the Scrum framework and Agile principles
- Facilitate backlog refinement (grooming) with Product Owners
- Manage sprint execution and track progress against goals
- Monitor delivery using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown/burnup, and cycle time
- Identify and remove team impediments and blockers, and coordinate cross-team dependencies
- Support technical discussions and assist with managing technical debt, infrastructure issues, and release risks
- Coach teams on Agile and Scrum practices and drive continuous improvement
- Shield the team from distractions and unplanned work
Requirements: - 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education
- Expertise with Agile Delivery Tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office, and Teams
- Solid understanding of Agile Scrum Frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Scrum of Scrums
- Experience with sprint-based delivery, backlog management, story sizing, and incremental delivery
Desired skills: - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent
- Experience with enterprise platforms (cloud, data platforms, DevOps environments)
- Prior engineering, QA, or development background
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or multi-team delivery environments
Pay range: $58.75 - $66.75 per hour
