Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications running on IBM Mainframe platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM, along with a solid understanding of batch and online transaction processing systems.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and optimize DB2 queries, stored procedures, and database processes.
Support batch job processing, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production deployments.
Investigate and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers throughout the SDLC.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Mainframe Development experience.
Strong proficiency in COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.
Experience with VSAM files and batch processing.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments.
