Summary
Job Title: Micro Focus Enterprise Server Administrator (Azure/Google Cloud Platform & On-Prem)
We are seeking an experienced Micro Focus Enterprise Server Administrator to manage and support enterprise environments across cloud (Azure/Google Cloud Platform) and on-premise platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Micro Focus Enterprise Server/Developer, along with hands-on experience in mainframe technologies such as CICS, IMS, and MQ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Micro Focus Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer across multiple environments (Sandbox, Dev, QA, Pre-Prod, Prod) on Windows and Linux.
- Configure and manage listeners, web services, SSL, and API integrations.
- Perform system maintenance including spool and log management, diagnostics, and issue resolution.
- Administer CICS and IMS resources, including setup, maintenance, queue management, and database backup/recovery.
- Configure and manage MQ queue managers, including monitoring, backup, restart, and recovery.
- Implement and maintain security using Enterprise Server Security (ESM).
- Support application integration via APIs, FTP, and database connectivity.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and system stability.
- Develop and manage automation scripts for server operations.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Micro Focus Enterprise Server/Developer administration.
- Solid understanding of CICS, IMS, and MQ administration.
- Experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.
- Familiarity with database connectivity (IMS DB, RDBMS) and mainframe concepts.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with HCOSS and data migration.
- Knowledge of job schedulers and automation tools.
- Familiarity with MQ recovery and client reconnection.
- Exposure to Windows tools such as Event Viewer and Registry.
- Experience integrating with third-party tools and applications.
