Entry-Level Engine Performance Analyst

An Engine Performance Analyst job in Cincinnati, OH is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. In this job your primary responsibility is turbine engine performance analysis and modeling for propulsion and energy-generation gas turbine systems. You will report to the Belcan Cincinnati CFD/Performance Group Leader as a key member of an integrated product team to develop, optimize, integrate, deliver, and transition engineering designs to production.

Performance Analyst job duties:
* Generate and maintain ownership of gas turbine cycle deck models
* Ensure that models are systematically checked and validated.
* Perform analysis on advanced engine cycle models
* Perform engine cycle optimization trade studies
* Support operability and stability prediction and testing
* Collaborate on gas turbine component and system level design, including the assessment of detailed design changes on the whole system performance, reliability, and cost
* Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers as well as management and peers

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* Capability to assess the quality and impact of design changes in the context of a larger system
* Due to the nature of our work ship is required

Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience with NPSS
* Prior experience with GE Aviation cycle performance tools
* Prior experience with transient cycle modeling and execution
* Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $68,640 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
