YSI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to support the program at Fort Belvoir, VA by gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements. This role requires an onsite professional with strong technical expertise to work closely with Government stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet mission needs, schedules, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to elicit, analyze and clarify business and functional requirements for SharePoint applications
- Translate business needs into clear, well-structured requirement document format including detailed acceptance criteria.
- Support Agile and hybrid development activities, including backlog grooming and sprint planning
- Review and understand requirements thoroughly and proactively ask clarifying questions to eliminate ambiguity and reduce development risks
- Collaborate closely with developers and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and solutions are designed and implemented correctly.
- Maintain requirements traceability and support change impact analysis
- Facilitate working sessions, demos, and requirements reviews with stakeholders
- Perform functional testing, system testing to validate that the application meets the documented requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development and defect tracking
- Maintain project documentation in SharePoint and ensure version control
- Coordinate with developers, testers, and project managers to resolve requirement gaps
- Provide inputs for weekly status reports, risks, and
- Bachelor s Degree in relevant field of study, such as Business, Finance, Computer Science, etc.
- 5+ experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong requirements documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and manage multiple
- QA Testing knowledge, must have the ability to perform some Testing
