Job Title: ServiceNow ITAM SME (Software Asset Management & Hardware Asset Management)

Location: San Diego, CA (Remote) only on w2

Mandatory Skills : ServiceNow CMDB, ServiceNow Integration Hub, ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, HAM, SAM

Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITAM implementations
• Strong experience in SAM Pro, HAM Pro, CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Lifecycle Management
• Experience working in enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments

Key Responsibilities

ITAM Solution Design & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow ITAM solutions (HAM Pro & SAM Pro).
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops and translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• Design and configure asset lifecycle processes including procurement, receiving, deployment, inventory, maintenance, and disposal.
• Implement software license management, reclaim processes, compliance reporting, and optimization initiatives.

Asset & Configuration Management

• Integrate ITAM with CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Procurement, and ITSM processes.
• Define data models, asset classes, lifecycle states, and governance standards.
• Ensure CMDB and Asset Repository accuracy through reconciliation and automation.
• Drive asset normalization and software entitlement management activities.

Integration & Automation

• Integrate ServiceNow with:
  • SCCM/MECM
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Active Directory
  • Procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Develop automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, and Scripted APIs.

Governance & Compliance

• Define ITAM governance framework, policies, and operational procedures.
• Monitor software compliance and license utilization.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Provide KPI and executive dashboards for asset compliance, utilization, and cost optimization.

Stakeholder Management

• Work with Procurement, Finance, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
• Act as the functional and technical SME for ITAM-related initiatives.
• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities.
