Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
Lead Fire Alarm Technician to join a dedicated fire alarm team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who can work
independently without mentorship, read and execute from blueprints, and lead fire alarm installations from start to finish in commercial environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with both
conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, with programming experience considered a strong plus.
Top Skills & Core Requirements- 3-5 years of experience installing fire alarm systems
- Conventional systems
- Addressable systems
- Commercial environment experience performing fire alarm wiring and installation
- Ability to work independently with no supervision required
- Programming experience is not required, but is a major bonus
Primary Responsibilities- Install and manage MC cable and fire alarm cable
- Install fire alarm loops and circuits independently
- Mount and install:
- Fire alarm panels
- Strobes
- Pull stations
- Speakers
- Perform limited conduit work as required
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Ensure all installations meet applicable codes and standards
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and jobsite organization
Secondary Skills (Nice to Have)- Fire alarm system programming
- Experience across multiple fire alarm manufacturers
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Lift certifications are beneficial but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Ability to manage workload independently and efficiently
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
