Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pega Developer with 13+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on experience in Pega application development, workflow automation, case management, integrations, and enterprise application architecture.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently on complex Pega applications, participating in technical design discussions, troubleshooting production issues, and providing technical guidance to other developers.

Candidates currently outside New York may be considered if they are genuinely willing to relocate and can commit to the required onsite/hybrid schedule.

Required Technical Skills

• REST / SOAP Web Services

• JSON / XML

• Strong SQL and database knowledge

• Pega debugging and performance tuning

• Application deployment and release management

• Agile / Scrum

• CI/CD and Git experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex enterprise applications using Pega Platform.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Pega solutions.

• Design and implement case types, workflows, business rules, data models, and UI components.

• Participate in technical architecture and solution design discussions.

• Develop and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.

• Work with SQL and enterprise databases for data retrieval and validation.

• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Pega development best practices.

• Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

• Conduct performance analysis and optimize Pega applications when required.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.

• Participate in application upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level Pega developers.

• Contribute to technical documentation and development standards.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.

Pega Certification

Preferred certifications include:

• Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA)

• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)

• Pega Lead System Architect (PLSA) is a plus

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 13+ years of professional IT experience.

• Strong hands-on Pega development experience.

• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
