Role: AWS Cloud Database Engineer

W2 Role

Data/Database Engineer:

Manages day-to-day operations of cloud databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Oracle, MS SQL), including incident handling, performance tuning, and availability assurance.
Automates database provisioning and operational tasks using scripting languages, enabling efficient, repeatable, and error-free deployments.
Implements monitoring and alerting database health, manages certificate renewals, enforces data security measures, and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
Works closely with architects and developers to deliver database solutions aligned with business requirements and application needs.
Supports secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments and has hands-on experience in migrating databases to AWS.
Resolves database-related incidents, addresses vulnerabilities proactively, and minimizes downtime through close collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.
Documentation & Process Standardization Maintains technical documentation for database infrastructure, automation scripts, and operational procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
