Logistics Application Engineer

Location: Georgetown, KY
Contract: 12+ Months

Job Summary

We are seeking a Logistics Application Engineer to support internal logistics automation across manufacturing environments. This role focuses on integrating and supporting AMR/AGV systems, fleet management software, and manufacturing IT infrastructure (MES/ERP). You will support PoCs, production deployments, and troubleshooting across North American sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and support internal logistics automation systems across manufacturing facilities
  • Integrate AMR/AGV solutions with fleet management, MES, ERP, and IT systems
  • Lead PoC and SOW transitions into production deployments
  • Evaluate robotics and logistics automation technologies and best practices
  • Provide Tier 3 support for robotics, PLCs, networking, and infrastructure
  • Commission AMR systems and support on-site deployments
  • Create system documentation, user guides, and process standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and manufacturing teams


Required Qualifications (Top Skills)
  • 4+ years of IT/IS systems experience
  • 2+ years of industrial logistics automation or robotics experience
  • Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, Toyopuc) and AMR platforms (MiR, OTTO, AutoGuide, Omron, JBT, Bastian, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, Bash, and Linux networking
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network/server architecture
  • DevOps experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Availability for occasional weekend work


Preferred Qualifications
  • Node.js or Python server-side development
  • API integration experience
  • ROS or robotics middleware experience
  • Project management experience
