SAP BTP Architect (with DevOps)

Location: 100% remote

 

We are looking for super solid SAP BTP architect - ideally with some DevOps experience (CI/CD deployments on BTP) and prior exposure to SAP EAM or SAP PM modules. That combination is important for the kind of architecture and implementation work we need support with. 

 

The current support required is 20hrs per month to start with which will turn to a full time opportunity next Q.

 

Really need some rockstar who can help with this. 

 

We need a senior SAP BTP Architect who has hands-on experience designing and deploying applications on SAP BTP, preferably for enterprise SaaS or customer-specific deployment models.

 

The client is building a product that extends SAP S/4HANA EAM / Plant Maintenance using SAP BTP. The immediate need is not for a pure developer, but for an architect who can review the current architecture and advise on the right deployment approach.

 

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong SAP BTP architecture experience

• Experience with S/4HANA Private Cloud landscape

• Hands-on experience with side-by-side extensibility on SAP BTP

• Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core principles

• Experience defining deployment models on SAP BTP

• Ability to support both multi-tenant and customer-dedicated deployments

• Experience with SAP BTP Kyma Runtime / Kubernetes

• Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD, and cloud-native architecture

• Ability to advise on security, data residency, and customer-specific deployment constraints

• Should be able to work directly with engineering/product leadership

 

Ideal experience:

 

• SAP EAM / Plant Maintenance experience

• SAP UI5 experience

• Experience with SaaS product architecture

• Experience with PostgreSQL on BTP

CI/CD experience on BTP.

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite

• Experience in utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, or asset-heavy industries

• Data/AI/ML or recommendation engine exposure

 

Technical Environment:

SAP BTP, S/4HANA Private Cloud, SAP EAM/PM, SAP UI5, Python backend, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Kyma/Kubernetes, CI/CD, microservices.

They are building a product that basically bolts on and extends SAP S/4.  This company is building software.  They're building a commercial product.
