User Experience (UX) Designer

Position:  User Experience (UX) Designer 

Location: Beaverton, Oregon, 97005 (in-person required)

Skills:

App creation

• Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms
• Designing mobile apps, ideally for hardware products

Must Have:

1) Candidate must have experience in Mobile app designing

 2) Must have an attractive portfolio.

 3) Mobile app designing experience must be reflected in the resume

Job Description:

• Ideal experience with App creation with wearables for workout/sports (ex. Fitbit, peloton, Apple watch) however, experience with hardware/app creation with products like Alexa, Google Nest, Ring, etc. also a good fit.
• Full two year assignment, ideally the person is already in PDX, however, open to someone relocating if a good fit.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Design, or related field
• 7+ years of experience designing mobile apps, ideally for hardware products
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end design for consumer-facing digital products
• Expertise in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping platforms
• Experience collaborating with engineering and QA teams in Agile environments
• Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile app design, hardware-connected experiences, and design system work
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and facilitation skills
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive clarity through organized, actionable design steps
• Comfortable presenting and facilitating discussions with senior leadership
