Job Description
Project Planning & Execution
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of EHR implementation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with applicable regulations.
Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, work breakdown structures, and risk management plans.
Coordinate project resources, including internal teams and third-party vendors, to meet project deliverables.
Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, escalating issues and risks as appropriate.
Ensure integration of clinical, administrative, and technical perspectives into project planning and execution.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for EHR project stakeholders, including clinical leadership, IT staff, and external vendors.
Facilitate regular meetings with project teams, steering committees, and executive sponsors.
Advocate for end-user needs and promote adoption of EHR solutions through effective communication and change management strategies.
System Implementation
Oversee system configuration, data migration, implementation, and system testing phases.
Coordinate training programs for staff to ensure successful adoption and proficiency in the EHR system.
Develop and execute go-live readiness plans, including contingency planning and resource allocation.
Support post-implementation review and continuous improvement activities.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all EHR implementation activities comply with guidance from regulatory agencies and acts, including but not limited to HIPAA, CMS, CDPH, DHCS, Joint Commission, and HCAI.
Track, monitor, and mitigate project risks, ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld.
Document all project deliverables, meeting minutes, decisions, and issue logs.
Length of the contract: 6 months, renewable and convertible to FTE depending on performance.
Hybrid 3 days in the office.
