Java Application Developer (PL/SQL)

We are hiring a Java Application Developer to start immediately. we are ONLY looking for local candidates.

• This is a Direct Hire position, up to 115k/year


• This is a Hybrid on site position in Brea,ca, you will be on site on every tuesdays and wednesdays and 3 days remote


• This is a Full Stack Java role, you will be doing 80% back end development and 20% front end development however you will only be doing coding as most of the design will be done by the manager.


• We are looking for someone with strong experience with Java development with spring boots, JavaScript, HTML, PL/SQL, Oracle, writing complex queries, connecting to the database and with major ERP replacement projects


• This is a hands on coding role, any AI development experience will be a huge plus


• We are looking for about 4 years of Java development experience

What you will be doing:

*Design, develop, and deploy interactive web and standalone applications using Java technologies.
*Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications.
*Collaborate with team members and business owners to provide effective IT solutions.
*Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
*Develop and maintain complex database schemas, write advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries in an Oracle environment, and ensure data integrity.
*Research, troubleshoot, and propose innovative solutions to complex problems.
*Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for code and technical designs.
*Manage source code and versioning using Git, ensuring best practices for branching, merging, and code reviews.

What you need to succeed:
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
*4+ years of professional experience developing interactive web and standalone applications using Java technologies.
Back-End Development:
*Intermediate proficiency in Java platform.
*Experience with the Spring Boot framework.
Front-End Development:
Solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Database & Data Modeling:
*Strong experience with Oracle databases.
*Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
*Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
Software Development & Process:
*Proven experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
*Hands-on experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
*Proficiency with Git for source code management.

Professional Skills:
*An energetic self-starter with a passion for solving complex problems.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to document code and technical designs.
*Meticulous attention to detail.
*Effective in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience using AI development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) in a professional capacity.
*Deep understanding of supply chain systems.
*Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
